Preserving the Past for the Present…And the Future
Since 2018 I have been working in media archives digitizing, cataloging, and writing about past programming that's relevant today.
I have done a lot of audio digitization, cataloging, and writing for the New York Public Radio Archives, including bringing the earliest iterations (1993-2000) of the WNYC-produced National Public Radio program On the Media to the web for future generations in-depth dives into politics, media, and popular culture during the Clinton Administration. It is a treasure chest for historians and students researching the era.
This is a collection of articles I've written for the NYPR Archives.
I've also recently cataloged almost 1,300 field recordings from WNYC reporters made from 1999 to 2008 focusing on diversity issues.
I've recently finished cataloging decades of raw footage and completed programs for HBO Sports, HBO Entertainment, and HBO Family in the HBO Archives.
