Places you should visit
St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church – My church
Edison Literary Review – The critically acclaimed poetry print annual for which I provide design and production work.
Trenton Thunder – Eastern League AA affiliate of the New York Yankees. I go to as many games as I can and have seen Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird, Tyler Wade, Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera, Brett Gardner, David Robertson, Eduardo Nunez, Ramiro Pena, Francisco Cervelli, Austin Jackson, George Kontos, Dellin Betances, Omir Santos, David Adams, Austin Romine, Ben Gamel, Nick Goody, and lots of other players on their way to The Show.
Delaware Valley Poets – I belong to this group of Central Jersey poets who host workshops and public readings. My poem Dr. Strangelawn appears in their anthology Thatchwork.
The Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College – An amazing resource run by the even more amazing Maria Mazziotti Gillan. For $10 you can have a workshop with some of the top poets working today and hear them give a reading afterward. Thanks to the Poetry Center I’ve had the opportunity to workshop with Toi Derricotte, Terrance Hayes, Mark Doty, Honoree Fanonne Jeffers, and Taylor Mali. My poem Foregone is a direct result of the Derricotte workshop. Or just attend the reading for free!
